Who We Are

The Newcastle Parent Teacher Corporation (Newcastle PTC) is a volunteer-run non-profit serving Newcastle Elementary and Newcastle Charter School’s K-8th grade students. The PTC provides enhanced funding and coordinates the support/volunteers for several programs and events at and within the school community. The NECS board and volunteer team are passionate about focused fundraising to ensure that the NECS student body, teachers, parents, and staff continue to be provided with enrichments that foster the safe and fun learning experiences that make it such a great school.

Last year the PTC successfully raised over $35,000.00 to enhance our student’s learning experience and directly support NECS classrooms. The PTC minimizes the ‘ask’ of parents by holding several large, focused fundraisers throughout the year and spending more of our time giving back!

The PTC raised funds have provided support for students and educators, including but not limited to field trips, classroom enrichment, special assemblies, playground equipment, information technology, campus improvement, as well as important social events such as Knight in the Country, End of Year BBQ for the entire student body,  8th Grade  Dance, field trips, and teacher appreciation events. For specifics, please visit our distribution page.

Meetings are held monthly on the first Tuesday of every month at @2:45 p.m. on the Kindergarten playground (weather pending)

Fund Requests

The Newcastle PTC Annual Budget is proposed, discussed, and approved by vote during board meetings leading up to and including the final budget meeting in May, during which the budget for the following school year is determined.  Parents, teachers, staff, and community members can attend PTC Board Meetings.  Those interested in presenting at a meeting may request to be on the meeting agenda or may speak briefly off the agenda toward the end of a meeting during New Business.

The Newcastle PTC Annual Budget allocates, when possible, for fund requests that may be received throughout the year.  Once submitted, these post-budget fund requests are discussed and voted on at the next PTC meeting.  If the request follows the Newcastle PTC objectives, as outlined in the bylaws, and funds are available within the budget guidelines, the PTC may be able to provide the funding.

To request funds, please fill out the FUND REQUEST FORM, available for download at the bottom of this page.  Please note, when applicable, the request must be signed by the school principal, Cindy Giove, before submitting to the PTC.

2023 - 2024 School Year

As we enter the 2023 - 2024 School Year, the Newcastle PTC is ready to support the needs of NECS as they arise. We are back to planning school events, fundraising opportunities, and supporting NES with field trips and assemblies. We are so happy to be back on campus and excited for what will come this year.

The Newcastle PTC is dedicated to supporting the NECS community; however, the PTC is not involved in decisions regarding how learning is designed this year. Please get in touch with the school office or the district with questions or concerns.
